Welcome

In February 2024, RES received consent from Scottish Ministers for its revised Cairn Duhie Wind Farm proposal to the south east of Ferness in Nairnshire. The 16-turbine scheme will be capable of generating clean, low-cost renewable electricity for around 57,000 homes. The project is also predicted to deliver around £4.4 million of inward investment in the form of local jobs, employment and use of local services and will provide around £21 million in business rates to The Highland Council over its 30-year operational lifecycle.
